FAQ's

  • How much does a divorce cost?

Costs depend on your circumstances, in particular whether finances and children arrangements are agreed. We will give you a clear estimate at the outset so there are no surprises.

  • How long does a divorce take?

Under the no-fault divorce process, a straightforward divorce typically takes around six to seven months, including the mandatory reflection period. Financial matters can run alongside this.

  • Do I have to go to court?

Most divorces are resolved without a court hearing. As Resolution members, we always look for a constructive route first, though we will represent you robustly if court becomes necessary.

  • Can I get a divorce if my spouse does not agree?

Yes. Since the introduction of no-fault divorce, your spouse cannot contest the divorce itself. We will explain exactly how this works for your situation.

  • Where is your Rotherham office?

We are at Moorgate Crofts Business Centre, South Grove, Rotherham, S60 2DH, close to the town centre with parking nearby.
